THE DEFINING DETAIL
Luxury lies in the details. Our dedication to craftsmanship and quality is evident in every piece we create. Each product in our collection is a testament to the meticulous attention to detail practiced by our skilled artisans.
Luxury is not just seen, but also felt. Our products provide an exceptional tactile experience–evident in the weight, texture and warmth of our materials. Meljac elevates the everyday acts of switching on a light or adjusting a control.
Lastly, luxury adapts to you. This is why Meljac offers unparalleled customization. Our clients are not just purchasing a product; but rather a bespoke piece tailored to the individuality of its space.

A HISTORY OF PASSION
The story of Meljac, like our products, begins in France.
Meljac’s founder André Bousquet was the most sought-after electrician for luxury projects and high-profile clients in Paris. During that time, he became attuned to the way even the smallest details on these projects reflected French elegance, quality, and subtlety. Amidst this, Bousquet recognized a significant gap in the market: the lack of design-forward electrical hardware.
Inspired by the enduring sophistication of 1930s design, Bousquet took a chance on this previously non-existent market. In 1995, he founded Meljac — named after his hometown in the South of France — and conceptualized the Classique toggle to realize his vision of a modern application with vintage finesse.
Over 25 years later, Meljac remains the global leader in custom electrical hardware that blends elegance, authenticity, and function.
André Bousquet passed away in 2019 but his legacy lives on through the passion, pride, and individual touch that are reflected in each Meljac product.
